Customer parking at Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre

All users of Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre are entitled to 4 hours of free parking while using the facilities.

Parking is managed by Creative Car Park using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology.
To qualify for free parking, you must enter your vehicle registration on one of the tablets located at:

Reception
Outside the Studio
Inside the Gym

Car Parking FAQs

Is parking free?

Yes. You are entitled to 4 hours of free parking while using the centre’s facilities.
To qualify, you must enter your vehicle registration on one of the tablets listed above.

  • Free parking is only valid during your visit.
  • Parking is not permitted for non-users of the centre.
  • Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Incorrect or missing registration may result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
How does Creative Car Parking work?

Creative Car Park uses ANPR cameras to monitor vehicle entry and exit.
The system automatically detects vehicles and issues PCNs if parking terms are breached.

Does the system cover the whole car park?

Yes. The ANPR system applies to the entire car park at Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre.

Is there a grace period for parking?

Yes. There is a 20-minute grace period for drop-off and pick-up.
If you stay longer, you must enter your registration to qualify for free parking.

What are the car park opening times?

The car park is open during the same hours as the leisure centre.
However, the ANPR system operates 24/7, including outside of opening hours.
Parking outside of opening hours may result in a PCN.

Do I need to enter my details every time I visit?

Yes. You must enter your vehicle registration each time you visit the centre.

Can I get free parking more than once a day?

Yes. You can visit multiple times per day, but you must register your vehicle each time.

I drop my children to Activity Sessions / Clubs what do I need to do?

You have a 20-minute grace period for drop-off and pick-up.
If you stay longer, you must register your vehicle on one of the tablets.

What if I enter my registration incorrectly?

Please double-check your entry before confirming.
If you make a mistake, re-enter your registration immediately.
Incorrect or missing entries may result in a PCN.

What if I am not visiting the centre?

Parking is only permitted for centre users during opening hours.
The ANPR system operates 24/7, and non-users may receive a PCN.

Is a parking space guaranteed?

No. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Who enforces the car park?

Parking is enforced by Creative Car Park using ANPR technology.

What do I do if I receive a penalty notice?

Follow the instructions provided on the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Can I leave my car overnight?

No. Overnight parking is not permitted.

  • The ANPR system operates 24/7.
  • Parking is only allowed during centre opening hours.
  • Vehicles parked outside of these times may receive a PCN.
My child attends swimming lessons, do I get free parking?

Yes. If your child is registered for lessons at Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre, you qualify for free parking.
You must still enter your vehicle registration during each visit.

What happens if need to change my details?

You can enter your vehicle registration on the tablets each time you check in.
There is no need to pre-register or update details elsewhere.

What happens if I cancel my membership?

You can still park for free as long as you are using the centre’s facilities.
You must continue to enter your registration during each visit.

Disabled Parking

Yes. Designated disabled bays are available near the main entrance.

  • A valid Blue Badge must be displayed.
  • Blue Badge holders must still enter their vehicle registration on the tablets to avoid receiving a PCN.
